What Are Dermal Fillers?
The common ingredient in dermal fillers is hyaluronic acid (HA), this is a naturally occurring component in the human body. It maintains the skin hydrated, glowing, and provides a natural rejuvenating plump. Our bodies manufacture less HA as we become older, and consequently the visible signs of aging happen. It is important to note, in addition to Hyaluronic Acid dermal fillers, there are also more potent Collagen Stimulating fillers such as Radiesse (CaHA) and Sculptra (PLLA) that can also be used.
Dermal fillers are administered into the skin's soft tissue to replenish volume. After being injected, the filler reduces the visibility of fine lines, wrinkles, creases, and other overt aging signs. The following are commonly injected areas that can treated with Dermal fillers:
- Lips
- Cheeks
- Under eyes
- Jaw
- Chin
- Smile Lines
- Neck and Neck Lines
- Back of Hands
- Buttocks and Hip Dip
- Temples
- Decolletage
- Knees
Depending on the area, our injectors will recommend the best type of dermal filler for you. At Aguilar Aesthetics, we pride ourselves in our expertise to deliver visible results with full Facial Balancing effects that will leave your family and friends wondering, “how do you look 10 years younger…? What Can I Expect From My Treatment?
We apply topical numbing so you are comfortable during your filler session. Then, using a needle or cannula, the fillers are injected into the soft tissue. Oftentimes, a treatment will require multiple injections. Between 30 to 60 minutes are required for the process (may vary).
Dermal fillers offer rejuvenating effects that endure for six to eighteen months. Clients in some instances, enjoy long-term benefits that continue for almost two years. Patients may need to return for more dermal filler treatments as necessary for fine tuning or to combine them with Wrinkle Relaxers, Energy Based technology or, Skin Tightening or Lifting techniques.
Who Is A Suitable Candidate For Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are used in skin rejuvenation for patients that want to lessen facial wrinkles and creases. It's an excellent treatment for people who have volume loss from aging that typically starts in our mid-30s. Patients who perform in high-impact physical exercise can also benefit from fillers.
